Some key points to try to break that cycle. You remember it, but no one else does. People usually forget things faster than you think. Your brain exaggerates it. The more you replay it, often the worse it seems, because you reinforce it in your brain.
Try asking yourself, did it actually matter? Would you judge someone else for saying the same thing?
Last, shift your focus. Move your body, engage in something fun, Or redirect your thoughts.
